Huntington Beach State Park, SC

Huntington Beach state park offers camping, fishing, kayaking, bird watching, coastal hiking trails and general access to the beach.

This area is much quieter and less populated then most free beaches in town.

The park is widely recognized as one of the best birding sites along the East Coast.

There is an excellent bike path, but you do have to watch for alligators crossing .

My friends were lucky to see one cross the causeway into the park. They have excellent programs to enjoy, atalaya ghost stories, snakes and alligators info, birding, behind the scenes program.

There is also an amazing Spanish-style castle Atalaya, within the park to go through.

You can take the guided tour, or explore on your own.

This oceanfront sate park have wonderful nature walks, boating, biking, beautiful beach with many shells to enjoy and more.
