Best pier for fishing?

by Donna

I have a question. How is the fishing in Myrtle Beach at May, what's open. I think my husband plans to fish from one of the piers. Which do you suggest?

Tom's Reply: I'm always glad to help you with some information.

All the piers will be open at that time of the year. I would say all of them are really nice and would be good for fishing, however my favorite fishing pier is Apache campground pier. It's a longest pier in the area and I really enjoy that with plenty fishing spots, you can even see dolphins sometimes.

My second favorite would be Cherry Grove fishing pier it is very popular fishing pier and a lot of local fisherman's would agree with me on that one. Many nice fish have been caught on this pier.
You can find more information about piers and fishing on my website, your husband can bring his own fishing equipment, or he can rent or purchase in the bait and tackle shop on the pier.

Have a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach.

Cherry Grove Pier Reviews

We stayed at the Prince Resort which is right behind Cherry Grove fishing pier. My husband caught fish and sharks off of this pier like crazy. I watched people all over the pier pull in fish one time after the other. Really nice view and goes out a pretty long way. They stay open late for that great nighttime fishing. Great Pier!!
